be a U.S. citizen,
be a resident of your precinct for 30 days before Election Day,
be 18 years old on or before the general election,
not be in jail for (but you can vote if you have completed your sentence, this includes felons)
provide two forms of valid identification (
A current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or government document that shows your name and address)
Both pieces of identification must show your name, and one must show your physical Lake County street address.
In Person: Election Day
By Mail: Postmarked 28 days before Election Day.
Online: 16 days before Election Day.

Clerk's office must receive your completed application by noon on Thursday, March 28.
Ballots expected to be ready for mailing early March.
Voted ballots must be returned with a postmark no later than Election Day.

Weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM only at the Lake County Clerk's Office in Waukegan
March 18 - April 1
You can vote at any one of the 16 early voting sites regardless of where you live.
